On 14 November 2023, our doctoral student Tinka Kuhn successfully defended her doctoral thesis on "Sea change - Participatory Approaches in Ecosystem Services Research to Support Sustainable Marine Management". The thesis deals with the systematic review of research on marine ecosystem services and methods for their evaluation using participatory approaches with the aim of supporting sustainable marine management. The thesis was written as part of the PhyGeo research projects ROSEMARIE (EU Bonus) and EBemÖS (BfN).
