The thesis deals with the practical application of different indicators proposed in the context of the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2020 for the Mapping and Assessment of Ecosystems and their Services (MAES). The work was done in collaboration with the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission in Ispra.
