Top marks for LUH Geography in the CHE University ranking

In the latest University ranking by the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE), Geography - along with other LUH study subjects - achieved excellent results in numerous categories. The CHE ranking is based on student assessments of the study conditions at the faculties. In addition, facts about teaching and research, such as the amount of research funding received or the faculty's facilities, are also recorded. Each year, some of the subjects are re-evaluated; in 2024, this included Geography, which scored exceptionally well in the student assessments. Students give their faculties top marks with very high scores for support during their studies, support from teaching staff, study organisation, the range of courses on offer and the IT infrastructure. Geography also presents itself as a strong research section with top group ratings for publications per researcher and the number of doctorates per researcher.
